What a Mosaic of Greenery!
I can't believe what an amazing day was it today! Perhaps after a long time I enjoyed a day outdoors and really got good vibes of the refreshing breeze and intermittent drizzling. Yayyyyyy! As far as I know myself, it's always a sheer merriment for me to be in the bosom of a lush nature. Now I see vividly in the mirror an exceedingly joyous face of mine after adoring a breath of fresh air.
Hmm....my simple question is, don't you find some solace in the stunning green culture? I know you would likely respond positively. Well, so would l. And to tell you, to relish my cuppa of green, I visit a neighbourhood verdure quite often. This awe-inspiring place is none other than Atal Park, which is sandwiched between Sector 8 and Sector 9 in Karnal (a smart city in the heart of Haryana, a northern Indian province). I wish I could be a regular admirer of this massive, and vast frondesence. Because every time I step into the realm of this colossal green patch, my vibes instantly begin to catch wondrous feelings, sometimes with elation and sometimes with admiration for the artistically laborious minds and hands behind this captivating creation. Hence, I have made a little attempt to depict this luscious and charming place through a word portrait. And here you go.
1. Coverage and visiting hours
The park bears the name of former Prime Minister Late Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and recently his elevated bronze statue is installed there. This recreational drop-in has been gracing the town for more than two decades with a roughly estimated covered area of over 55 acres. There is no entry fee and the park's hours of operation are 4:00 am to 10:00 pm. I want to suggest, fresh visitors should spare at least two hours to appreciate the beauty of mother nature over there. Remarkably, in an inviting manner, a small exquisite pond with a fixed deck draws the attention of trippers right at the entrance. And to aggrandize the religiosity of the place, a shrine of the Goddess Sarasvati is raised at the extreme extremity of the park. And between the two, from one end to the other, lies a long walking distance. Ergo, two hours are must to explore every nook and cranny.
2. The magnificent GreenscapeIf I talk about the verdant green vegetation and towering trees, here is God's abundance. I would say it's absolutely appropriate to call it a wonderful mosaic of greenery. The trees are so dense, shady, ancient, and worshipable that they create the impression of a huge protective umbrella. Plus, this magnificent greenscape has numerous concrete trails for fun runners, walk lovers and fitness buffs. Certain types of trees are grouped in circles, in rows and along the zigzag paths. What's more, the hedges and bushes in different animal shapes represent gardner's sensitivity toward art. And at every short distance there are perfumed and vibrant corners decorated with seasonal flowers. Acoustically, the musical chirping of the birds enhances the soothing effects in the area. In addition, small pyramidal huts with cemented benches are marvellous venues to relax and treasure the grandeur of flora and fauna. In the hour of the sinking sun, the LEDs and fountains make the moments serene, calm and extremely enchanting.
For visitors' convenience, there is ample parking with surveillance cameras. In the morning as well as in the evening one can enjoy herbal juice, coconut water, and fresh fruit extracts just outside the main entrance of the park.
